iboga icons are mainly based on: - Eclipse 2 by chrfb: [link] - Media Icons by ipapun: [link] Theses are under heavy developpement; so don't ask me to release them now.
I know the Startbutton is not quite good and I really lack imagination to do it better. Using a Windows logo is not my cup of tea. But, since you've got the bitmap, it should be easy to be changed. I really have no time to work on this Visual anymore; I have to make icons, litestep's theme, etc. So, experiment Stylebuilder, follow your inspiration and release...
I think this is the best looking VS I've ever seen. Almost perfect. Good job!
I would change few things though. Black background in the start menu's 'all programs' list doesn't look very good imo. There's also too many shades of grey (5) visible in the start menu when you have your mouse over "all programs" link. It would be better with 1 or 2 shades less, so the menu wouldn't look so "busy".
Well, the start menu is really the only thing that I would change. Like I said, it's almost perfect. I'm using it now and I don't think I'm going to change it for a long time
Can you say where those start menu background colors are located in stylebuilder so I could try to change them? I just installed it few hours ago and there are pretty damn many places when you can change colors
oh... the Startmenu... oh God I must admit that taskbar, systray and startmenu are the worriest stuff in Microsoft's desktop. And I really think that the only way to have something good is to use an alternative shell like litestep. I'm currently working on something like this; so, stay tuned... About using stylebuilder, it's hard to tell you where it is located since it is spilt in several places. Sorry. I encourage you to experiment this by yourself, and of course release the mod (even if it completely change, you are - and everyone is - free to modify and release)
